True Hybrids and EVs

Hybrids falling in the latter category (see full list here) will no longer be subject to fiscal deductibility. As for the rest of hybrids, CO2 emissions will now weigh more heavily in the calculation of the tax deductibility. For a Porsche Cayenne E-hybrid, the emissions were 70 to 74 grams, but following the new regulations, they are now 210 grams, that is to say the equivalent of the same petrol model. The tax deduction for this vehicle, therefore, goes from 90% last year to 40% in 2020. For a Mercedes C350e, the tax deduction goes from 100 to 54%. True hybrids remain very advantageous, with models like the BMW 530e plug-in deductible at 98%. Finally, fully electric vehicles are now fiscally deductible at 100%. With regards to registration taxes of EVs, these are region-dependent and remain low in Wallonia, while they are free in Flanders.
